Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31 of 1965. At the age of 12, she was a child model. She was praised by critics for her part in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her teens and starred in various dramas of the 1980s such as The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli’s Endless Love (1981). In 1983, Shields ended her modeling profession to pursue a degree at Princeton University where she received an undergraduate degree in Romance Languages. Shields was cast in film roles of minor importance as well as a return to acting in the 1990s. She was also a mainstay in the NBC sitcoms Suddenly Susan (1996-192000), in which she was awarded two Golden Globe nominations and Lipstick Jungle (2008)-2009. From 2014, Shields has voiced Beverly Goodman in the Adult Swim animated series Mr. Pickles and its spinoff Momma Named Me Sheriff. Brooke Christa Shields was born in Manhattan, New York on May 31, 1965. She was the daughter of actress and model Teri Shields (nee Schmon; 1933-2012) and businessman Frank Shields (1941-2003). According to the research of William Addams Reitwiesner, Shields is related to a number noble families from Italy specifically from Genoa as well as Rome.
