Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. She is most famous for her ex-wife of the comedian Steve Harvey. Deciding largely to stay away from the attention of the media, she has a private life. Steve did not get the success he's currently enjoying, yet they had been married 14 years. Rumours are circulating around Hollywood regarding the causes of their breakup. Some blame Steve Harvey's cheating and some blame him for choosing comedy as his career. Steve Harvey left her with his two daughters when she was expecting their third baby, causing her to be devastated. Despite the hardships she has faced she has managed to make an impressive name for herself in fashion design as well as writing. Her books include 'Marcia Eyes To The Soul', "Marcia Poems From The Heart', and 'Marcia: Thoughts From My Mind'. Children are inspired by her generosity and compassion. The details of Marcia Harvey's childhood, aside from the fact that she was born to an African-American family , and they weren't very wealthy. She began her career at an department store called "Saks Fifth Avenue'. She became acquainted with Steve after a while at a mutual friend's reception party. They were inseparable and got married in 1980. The couple had twins in 1982, while Steve was an insurance salesperson. At that point, Steve began to feel dissatisfied with his work and was looking to pursue an income in entertainment, especially stand-up comedy. This created a lot of tension between him and Marcia and later, reports indicated that they were starting to split up in the year 1990. Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve Harvey and marriage. Although the facts leading to the divorce of Steve and Marcia in 1994 have been kept secret however, it is clear that Marcia was expecting their third child at the time things completely fell apart. Marcia was divorced in 1993. Marcia was forced to seek the law following her divorce and Steve Harvey's rejection of child support and alimony payments.
